FWCD got the W in the first 3A Varsity Football Championship, after the realignment this year of  the Southern Preparatory Conference. The Falcons won their last championship in 2010, when they captured the SPC DII title. Led by senior captains Brad Chilcoat, Will Jones, Joseph Breedlove, Spencer Pergande and Brodie Hyde, the Falcons beat Cistercian 52-17 on the All Saints field on November 7 to capture the title in front of many FWCD fans.
